➢ I do understand that in your reply to my email you had a backlog but had passed on the paper to have the
case re opened. It has been some time and I have not heard anything about this and wonder if you can
check into this and find out how long it will take to get a new date from the court.
         Yours faithfully
         Simon Cordell

         Dear Mr Cordell,
I am in receipt of your email; these have been printed off and passed to the reopening section to deal with.
There is a backlog due to the huge number of requests to reopen, but you will hear from someone in due
         course.
         regards,

Subject: Wrongful conviction and request to set aside the conviction and reopen the case
         Dear Sir or Madam
I have emailed your court on a number of occasions regarding my conviction and sentence for no insurance.
I am making this request to have my case listed in order that I can do the following;:
1.Application to set aside the conviction
         2. Reopen the case
Application to set aside the conviction: On
         22nd July 2012
I was stopped and given a producer by the police as they did not believe that I held a valid policy of
insurance. I attended the police station and I was advised that my case would be going to court and I would
be summonsed in due course. I never received any summons in relation to this matter and I only became
aware that the case had been dealt with in my absence when I received a letter from the DVLA advising me
that I had to send in my driving licence. I disputed with the DVLA the points, but I was given an ultimatum
that if I did not send in my licence it would be revoked. I therefore had no choice but to send in my licence.
         I immediately
         114,
contacted the Court by telephone and I was advised to send an email. I sent in a number of emails and I
have been given a number of emails, but I have not received any confirmation from the court. I forwarded a
copy of my insurance policy to the court and again this was ignored. The offence of no insurance was
         allegedly committed on
         22nd July 2012
I had a valid policy of insurance from
         23rd March 2012
and this policy was valid until
         22nd February 2013
The company insuring me was Tradex Insurance Company Limited. I am the named policy holder, Mr.
Simon Cordell and my policy number are L/WST/MTP/0192359. I have points on my licence which I
should not have. Can you please as a matter of urgency email me back on this matter so that I can have a
